Clarendelle Bordeaux Rosé

The first official rosé wine in the history of Domaine Clarence Dillon, Clarendelle Bordeaux Rosé is produced by a short maceration of Merlots and Cabernets and is notable for its finesse, strength and delicious flavour. This gastronomic rosé has a fruity, fragrant personality, blended with harmony and elegance.

Tasting notes

A clear and brilliant pale pink colour with salmon hues. Complex aromas of raspberries, red currants and wild strawberries mingle on the nose. The wine is smooth, tangy and delicious on the palate, dominated by peach, lychee, citrus and slightly lemony notes. A finely balanced, refreshing and thirst-quenching wine.

Climate

The particularly mild winter led to early bud break with no signs of frost. Flowering unfolded in good conditions in healthy plots! The summer was warm yet not overly hot, confirming hopes of a promising vintage. Cool nights led to the synthesis of aromatic compounds. This vintage is beginning to reveal itself: fruity, well-balanced and in keeping with the times. The months of September and October saw a succession of stormy conditions, cool nights, and sunny, windy days. This vintage reminds us of the importance of being able to adapt to the vagaries of the weather, whereby increased rigour is required at each stage of the production process. An enjoyable, fruity vintage! Our partner winegrowers succeeded in making the most of this delicate balance, offering rosé wines with a fresh and aromatic character, after a moderate summer.
